It is called Ujjayi Pranayama Breath, it has many benefits, including heating the body and focusing the mind. Ujjayi breath is also felt and heard. You can feel the breath at the back of your throat because there is a slight hugging at the back of the throat. The gentle constriction at the back of the throat is similar to when you whisper or fog up a mirror with you mouth when you exhale, except your lips are sealed. Activating this hugging of the back of throat also make the breath audible, it will sound like a gentle ocean breeze.
